The story of Nexomon: Extinction starts with dramatic events that will throw you straight into the action! To help you act decisively and choose the perfect companion when the game is out later this summer, please meet the 9 starter Nexomon you will be able to chose from below!

Element: Water

An amphibious flying Nexomon with heroic spirit. Its main characteristic is self-confidence and loyalty.

Element: Electric 

A very curious Nexomon with the ability to walk on any surface with its sticky feet. They love to hide and stay hidden from others for long periods of time.

Element: Ghost

A ghost Nexomon that can be found in the darkness. They tend to detach their heads to scare their opponents.

Element: Fire

Not for those who love to hug their Nexomon. Lume’s head, paws and tail are completely engulfed in flames.

Element: Psychic

People often confuse them as a ghost type Nexomon. Truth said, they are psychic Nexomon and have a somewhat obscure sense of humour.

Element: Wind

Mearns are not as friendly as they look. They are actually wild Nexomon that inhabit the prairies and mountain skirts. Their entangled tails can use wind to their advantage while hunting.

Element: Mineral

They are always eager to prove the durability of their horns, they love to do headbutting competitions.

Element: Plant 

Maras are adorable and intelligent Nexomon who know how to use their charm in their favour during battles with tamers. Loves to be pet.

Element: Normal

Dinja features short legs, adorable big ears and a huge fluffy tail. Since they aren’t good runners, they prefer to move by hopping their way.

Because everyone picks fire type, don’t they?

The world of Nexomon: Extinction is teeming with over 300 Nexomon to capture and tame! As you explore the diverse regions, towns and cities you’ll discover Nexomon from 9 different elemental types. Here are just some of the FIRE TYPE Nexomon waiting to be captured!

KOLPHUR is a scorching pebble with a magma core which also forms its one eye. When chasing them, be careful not to trip on their trail or your shoes might… melt.

PONGOS live in herds at the slopes of steep mountains, their fire wool keeps them warm in cold places.

FLIZARDS are easier to spot on hot days when they are more active. When they gather enough heat, some might shine with a bright red glow at night.

TIKI can be found in dark ruins, caves, and ancient villages. They usually stay away from towns as they can easily start a fire…

…and finally – we think you’d love to know a little more about PORKLET!

PORKLET is an adorable little Nexomon makes use of its fat to power its fire attacks!

A PORKLET will evolve into a HOGLET, which is a more agile Nexomon than it looks. They tend to hop back and forth while on battle to keep their stamina and fire going.

Finally, a HOGLET will evolve into BARBORACO! A bulked-up and strong Nexomon with blazing skills, Barboraco trains to keep its body fat to a minimum.

NEW IGNITIA – The Fire Region

Descend into New Ignitia – an underground volcanic city, built at the bottom of a deep chasm. The entrance to it is in a fiery region abundant in fire-type Nexomon, somewhere in the vast Solus desert.

The city itself is prone to attacks from powerful Tyrant Nexomon and recently Guild Tamers from Ignitia have been reported missing. Well-known for it’s quality pickaxes, making the long trip may well be worth it to pick up a new axe and help you mine elemental shards.

A Nexomon You Might Encounter Here: NEKPANCHI

Their puffy paws are actually deadly weapons, and with its natural instinct to fight, Nekpanchi can quickly harden them like iron to bash their foes.

• Rarity: Mega Rare
• Signature Attack: Fire Claw
• Evolution: > Nekgiri > Felclaw

SOLUS – The Desert Region

Tread lightly, there are many dangers in the Solus Desert. Tamers who do venture through this region will discover that it is rich in gemstones to mine and Mineral-Type Nexomon to capture. 

Travel past strange ruins, the skeletons of long-dead Tyrant Nexomon and avoid the attention of rutheless bandits as you head east to locate the desert fortress of Lateria.

A Nexomon you might encounter here: RUST

Rust uses its steel helmet both for defense and offense.

• Rarity: Uncommon
• Signature Attack: Headbutt
• Evolution: > Rustu > Rustung

FROZEN TUNDRA – The Ice Region

While many think it is a lost cause, the Guild still maintains an outpost in the Frozen Tundra to hold back Tyrant Nexomon in the region. Home to powerful water-type Nexomon, many of whom can inflict the frozen status effect, the Tundra is unforgiving and only experienced tamers are permitted to travel there. 

Those who do take on the icy climb will discover the deep ice caves, home to even more water-type Nexomon to catch and elemental shards to mine. To the very north of the region lies a cursed tower, which of late has been attracting even more wild Nexomon to the area.

A Nexomon you might encounter here: CRUFF

Cruffs are naughty water Nexomon and very skillful at stealing items. When tamed they are very loyal and noble.

• Rarity: Rare
• Signature Attack: Water Blast
• Evolution: > Croncho > Domigator

We’re delighted to share that Nexomon: Extinction will release on AUGUST 28TH 2020!

The game will be available as a physical copy on Nintendo Switch and PS4 in certain countries in Europe and North America. Check out the retailer list on the HOMEPAGE – which we will be updating with retailer links as/when they become available.

If you can’t see your country when the game releases – don’t worry! Nexomon: Extinction will also be available as a digital download on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. Links to those online stores will become available in the next couple of weeks!

We’re pleased to share an update to the capture and battle gameplay visuals.

Previously, your Nexomon was not quite facing it’s opponent when you were trying to capture a wild Nexomon, or battling a rival tamer:

Now – we’re pleased to share that all Nexomon in the game will directly face-off their opponent in battle! With the added bonus that you’ll get to see even more of their designs!

Improvements have also been made to the visual effects for attacks in battles – which we can’t wait for you to see for yourself when the game releases on August 28th 2020!
